Roof InsulationTo simply and quickly estimate* how much it will cost to have roof insulation installed in your home you can do the following simple measurements.

Measure the external dimensions of your property and you multiply the two lengths to give you the area to be insulated. For example if your property is 12 metres from front to back and 8 metres across multiply 12 x 8 gives you 96 square metres.

If you allow $12 per square metre for the insulation to be installed, this will give you a rough estimate*.

So 96m x $12 = $1152.00

In this case* the government rebate would cover the total cost of the insulation installation and you would not have to pay anything.

Another example:

10m x 12m = 12o square metresĀ  x $12 = $1440 so you may have to pay up to $240. But as you now have to get 2 quotes, you may find a company is moreĀ  likely to bring the overall cost down.

* Remember this is only a rough guide and the actual cost will depend on a number of factors including but not exclusively, your location, accessibility of the roof space and type of insulation installed.
